Granite Mountain Reserve — Thermal Report

DETAILS OF ANALYSIS
This is an analysis of a typical wall section of the Granite Mountain Reserve Project. The typical wall section consists of a layer of concrete of thickness a (1.5 in.), a layer of polysicyanurate of thickness b (4 in.) and a second identical layer of concrete. Thermocouples are located, as indicated in the figure, at the inside surface of the wall, in the center of the inside layer of concrete and the insulation layer, at the interface between the insulation layer and the outside layer of concrete, and at the outside surface of concrete. Temperatures (°F) are measured each hour at these points, designated T1,T2,T3, T4 and T5.

Dimensions are same as above. Heat fluxes defined in analysis are q1, q2, q3 and q4. Arrows associated with the heat fluxes indicate the direction of positive heat flux.
